Wind up my toy car!
In the United Kingdom, they can boast of creating the most luxurious vehicles such as Rolls-Royce, the sportiest such as Aston Martin or Jaguar, but now they can also boast of having the smallest toy car in the world registered.
This vehicle, which meets all the requirements for driving on public roads, was created by Perry Watkins.
This ingenious Briton had the idea of transforming a children’s vehicle, which worked by winding it, for a “Wind-Up”, which is the name by which it is known.
For the initial toy vehicle, he made a steel chassis, fitted a 150cc single-cylinder four-stroke engine, installed turn signals, a windshield wiper and a horn. I already had everything and just needed to circulate!
The last touches were to repaint the bodywork to give it a more fun look and ….ready, set and GO!
Technical data of the toy car
This tiny car measures just 129 centimeters long, 66 centimeters wide and 104 centimeters high. Although it may seem incredible, it reaches 65 km/h and consumes approximately 4 liters per 100 kilometers. It is approved by the British TÜV, to roll on the road.
This is probably the smallest registered vehicle on the road today, and for this reason it is in the Guinness Book of Records.
