Phone car, one of the most exclusive cars in the world
This Phone Car was built on a 1975 Volkswagen Beetle. Its owner, Howard Davis, completely disassembled it and reassembled it piece by piece, like a telephone.
Inspiration seems to have come to Howard from the early age of 9, which is when he began to be intrigued and fascinated by phones. He currently runs a telecommunications company called Datel Communications in Massachusetts.
The Phone Car has almost everything that we can find in any vehicle. The only thing this particular vehicle has that other cars don’t have is its horn. This one doesn’t sound like a horn, but unsurprisingly, it sounds like a phone call of the kind that phones had in the ’60s and ’70s.
The famous Phone Car
This unique vehicle has appeared in many publications such as Ripley’s, Art Cars, Guiness, Motor Trend or Weekly World News. He is also famous for appearing in a documentary film or taking part in exhibitions.
Registered in Massachusetts, it can be driven on highways. To be able to see, it has a black front plate made of tempered safety glass. Although the view is slightly obstructed by the buttons, you can see through them perfectly.
Its bodywork took a little over a year to build and is currently used in parades.
