Lexus 2054 Concept - Futuristic wherever you look at it

This Lexus 2054 was conceived for the Steven Spielberg film “Minority Report (2002)”. A futuristic vehicle created especially for the film, with impressive capabilities, such as being able to adapt to normal driving or levitate on magnetic rails. In this movie, the American actor Tom Cruise showed all the features of his car, set in Washington DC in the year 2054.

Designed by Harald Belker of Calty, the car will be auctioned by Mecum in 2022. RM Sotheby’s sold the same or a similar car in 2013 for $16,500.

A 680 hp two-seater sports car, which however could withstand all kinds of crashes. Its operation with ecological batteries, received voice commands and even had an autopilot.

Lexus is rumored to have invested $5 million in this futuristic prototype.

A research project carried out by Leasing Options says that Lexus 2054 type cars will be on the streets by 2027. Do you dare to estimate when we will see such a car circulating on the streets?

Replica of the Lexus 2054 on Ebay

Mike Vetter built a replica of this impressive vehicle, based on a Porsche. In his own Ebay ad, he explains that he has been building cars for the movies and creating exclusive replicas for decades.

In his ad, he explains that the transmission is automatic and that the engine, coming from a Porsche, is a 2.7-liter V6. The dashboard is also of Porsche origin.

It’s a fairly accomplished replica of the car from Minority Report. For the car, he asks for $95,000, although he says he would give a discount if a Corvette C6 is delivered in exchange, which he would use for another future project.
