American Dream – The longest car in the world

American Dream, is the name of the longest car in the world. Built in 1986 in Burbank, California, United States, by Jay Ohrberg, known for customizing many vehicles.

“The American Dream” is currently 30.5 meters long, which is why it is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records. It has 24 wheels and two driving cabins.

Meet “The American Dream”

This great limousine is equipped with every luxury. It can accommodate 75 passengers, which have a bed, a swimming pool with a trampoline, a Jacuzzi, a bathtub and even a golf course. It also has a removable heliport, which supports up to 2000 kilograms.

Based on a 1976 Cadillac Fleetwood ElDorado Convertible, to which they added several more meters of bodywork, the additional wheels were also installed and of course they included all the possible luxuries. It consists of 12 axles with two wheels on each (24 wheels), two V8 engines and a weight of ten tons. The development and manufacturing cost was 3.5 million euros.

The vehicle “The American Dream” has been restored at different times, although the intention was not to circulate on the roads, but to be exhibited. The collector Michael Dezer, was the one who bought “The American Dream” in 2019 and financed its reconstruction. For this last restoration, 277,000 US dollars were invested.

It is currently in the Denzerland Par Car Museum in the United States, where the collection of unique and classic cars in the world is located.
