Meeting the Toyopet Pokemon
At the Tokyo Toy Show 2014, Toyota dazzled with its Toyopet Pokemon. Vehicle that did not leave any of the attendees unnoticed. Actually, its launch was made at the Tokyo Toy Show in 2012, and given its interest, it was presented again in 2014.
This toy fair is the most important in Japan, being the place where the largest consumer electronics manufacturers in the country meet. In this case, the adorable faces of the Pokemon were backed by the prestigious Toyota car company.
Nintendo, in collaboration with Toyota, used their vehicles for the launch of one of their well-known video games. Pikachu is probably the most famous Pokemon in the franchise, and that is why its colors and face were transferred to this compact model. The result is really touching.
Do not think that he has only recreated the most emblematic character of this Japanese children’s series, Pikachu, but that he has done it with other inanimate Japanese characters. This is the case of Fennekin, known in Japan as Fokko. The appearance of the fox, with a pronounced nose and simulating ears and fur on the back, makes it adorable.
Limitless toyopet
It is not the first time that Toyota has tuned its vehicles with anime characters from the Pokemon series, as we can see. Already in 2007 he began making very unique vehicles.
Volkswagen has also collaborated with Nintendo creating an ID.3 and ID.4 electric model, presented at a Shanghai event in 2021. Previously, Volkswagen had already worked on its Pokemon models, with some Pikachu-designed Beetles to promote the Nintendo video game.
